Acupuncture is a complete and holistic medical system with a history of more than 5000 years, and is one of the main branches of Oriental Medicine. It involves the insertion of fine, flexible, hair-like needles onto specific points of the body to promote natural healing, strengthen immunity, eliminate pain, and restore physical
and emotional health. As one of the oldest continually practiced medical systems, acupuncture has stood the test of time with its vast knowledge of effectively treating many illnesses ranging from everyday to complex.
Acupuncture works by unblocking and promoting the energetic flow called Qi (pronounced “chee”) of the body through a network called “meridians,” similar to the systems of nerves and blood vessels. The entire body’s vitality and its functions depend on this energetic network. Pain or illnesses are formed from the blockage or lack of flow, like a dam blocking a stream watering the trees. Each meridian is connected to a specific organ, and the pathways are mapped onto the body in specific acupuncture points. These points are like relay stations that regulate the network. When being needled, they activate the communication and restore the Qi flow of the meridians.

Ever since I was young, I have always heard amazing stories about acupuncture and oriental medicine, but learning about it was more of a passing-down from an old master to a student. Thus, it remained mystical for a while. I then grew up taking Nursing classes and graduated with a bachelor in Psychology from the University of Washington. Another change in career led me to being a nursing assistant for a couple of years. When I was contemplating whether I should apply to medical school, I realized there was something missing: my approach to helping people did not feel holistic enough.
Being a fitness and nutrition enthusiast was not enough, as I was also having health problems of my own, especially with sleep, digestive system and food allergies. I thought I would have to live the rest of my life finding the perfect supplements, avoiding everything, and be dependent on medications. I then received acupuncture treatments, herb, and food therapy guidance, and most of my symptoms were gone within a month. Amazed and intrigued, I decided to switch career and study acupuncture and oriental medicine at the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), and I never looked back since. I felt I have found the perfectly natural, and safe solution to help more people: by using their own bodies' healing potential. We all have our own natural pain-killers, anti-depressants, anti-inflammatory substances, homeostasis-regulating hormones...we just need to access them, and acupuncture can help us do that.
Besides acupuncture, I am also an artist throughout my life. It has helped me to embrace acupuncture as a special form of art, which can compliment traditional techniques. Thank you for stopping by

Hello and welcome! I'm Natalie King, an acupuncturist and herbalist with a passion for helping people reach their health and wellness goals. My discovery of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine came from my own healing journey. I believe in the holistic connection between mind, body, and spirit, and that provided with the right tools, our bodies have an innate ability to heal.
I was fortunate enough to get my education and hands-on training from some of the top Chinese medical doctors in the country, providing me with a strong foundation in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other TCM therapies. I believe in the art and science of medicine and have learned to take an integrative approach, combining the ancient wisdom of TCM with modern evidence-based practices.
I believe in the uniqueness of every case and, therefore, personalize each treatment to the individual. My goal is to provide a safe space for everyone to feel seen and heard, whether you're coming in for physical pain, digestive issues, sexual health, stress management, you name it, I am here to help support you on your healing journey.
When I'm not at the clinic, I'm playing house with my partner, our two daughters, and our crazy dog. I love reading, painting, cooking, and playing outside, especially in water.
I am committed to continuously learning and growing my practice so that I can offer the best possible care to my patients. I feel very blessed to have found a career that I am so passionate about, and I look forward to meeting you!
